Facebook vs YouTube vs Blogging vs CPA Marketing vs Freelancing  – My Research Journey

When I first thought of earning online, I wasn’t looking for quick cash.
I wanted something real — something that could grow slowly and help me make $100 to $500/month consistently.

But online, I saw hundreds of people recommending different things. Some say Facebook is best, others swear by YouTube, while many recommend blogging, the other group suggests Freelancing  or CPA marketing. But which one actually pays well — especially in 2025?

Confusing, right?

So I did what most don’t — I spent days researching each method, comparing real earnings, traffic needs, and time investment.

Now, I’ll share everything I found.
Not hype. Not dreams. Just real income potential, with numbers.

1. Facebook: Viral Reach, Tiny Earnings

Facebook is powerful when it comes to reach. I’ve seen people go from 0 to 1 million Reel views in a week. It’s exciting. But then I asked: how much money are they actually making?

My Findings:

Facebook now allows creators to earn money globally through:

  • In-Stream Ads on videos.
  • Stars (fan donations).
  • Reels Overlay Ads (non-intrusive ads).
  • Subscriptions (monthly fee for exclusive content).

Who Can Monetize?:

As of 2025, creators from most countries, including the US, UK, India, Bangladesh, Philippines, Nigeria, and many more, can monetize if they meet these criteria:

Criterias are:

  • At least 500+ followers.
  • Regular Reels or video uploads.
  • No copyright/content violations.

Earning Breakdown (Global Average):

In-Stream Ads $4–$8 per 1,000 monetized views (US), $1–$2 (Asia, Africa)
Stars 1 Star = $0.01. 5,000 Stars/month = $50
Subscriptions 100 subs @ $2.99 = $299/month
Reels Bonuses (invite-only) $100–$2,000/month.

Realistic Earning Example (per month):

500,000 Reels views (Asia/Africa): ~$200–$400

3,000 Stars: $30

50 subs: $149

Total: $379–$579/month

2. YouTube – The Long Game, But Big Potential

How You Earn:

  • AdSense (primary income)
  • Sponsorships
  • Channel Memberships
  • Super chat
  • Merchandise

Who Can Monetize?

Global creators with:

  • 1,000 subscribers
  • 4,000 watch hours (or 10M Shorts views in 90 days)

Earning Breakdowns:

Region CPM (Cost per 1,000 views)

USA $5–$15
Europe $3–$10
South Asia/Africa $0.5–$3

Realistic Monthly Income Example:

100,000 monthly views (mixed global):

Avg CPM = $2.50

Estimated earnings: $250

1 brand deal/month: $100–$300

Total: $350–$550/month.

3. Blogging-A Powerful Passive Income

How It Works:

  • Display Ads (AdSense, Ezoic, etc.)
  • Affiliate Marketing
  • Sponsored Posts
  • Product Sales (eBooks, courses)

Global Monthly Income:

Traffic Ad Income (Avg RPM: $5) Affiliate (Realistic) Total

Realistic Earning Example (modest blog):

Traffic: 20,000/month

AdSense: $80

Amazon affiliate: $100

Sponsored post: $50

Total: ~$230/month

4. Freelancing -Immediate Income

Top Sites:

  • Fiver
  • Upwork
  • Freelancer.com
  • People per hour

Most Demand Skill In 2025

  • Graphic Design
  • Copywriting/Blog Writing
  • Social Media Management
  • Virtual Assistant
  • Web Development

Skill Hourly Rate (Avg) Beginner Monthly (Part-Time)

VA/Data Entry $5–$10 $100–$300
Writing $10–$30 $200–$600
Design $15–$50 $300–$800

Example:

5 projects/week @ $20 each = $400/month

Best for quick income, but needs skill development. Income = your effort.

5. CPA Marketing- Profitable But Tricky

CPA = Cost Per Action. You get paid when users complete specific actions (signups, installs, etc.). Examples:

  • App installs
  • Email submit
  • Trials or free sign-ups

Top CPA Networks (Global):

  • Maxbounty
  • Cpagrip
  • Ogads
  • Clickdealer

Realistic Income (With Effort):

50 actions/day $1.50 avg ~$2,000/month
10/day $1.00 avg ~$300/month

BUT, traffic is key. Most users drive via:

YouTube tutorials

Niche blogs

Social media traffic

Paid ads

Final Words

If you’re just starting and have no capital:

Start with Freelancing to earn fast.

Parallelly build a Blog or YouTube channel for long-term income.

Test CPA or Reels once you’ve built an audience or content flow.

My personal plan? I’m starting with blogging and content creation — because I love writing and building long-term digital assets. I might not be earning yet, but I know I’m building something real.
